3 YEAR PARTS & LABOR WARRANTY

Foster warrants to the original purchaser new major mechanical components that include: compressor, electronic controller, condenser & evaporator & fan motors to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal conditions,use and maintenance service as specified by Foster. Foster’s obligation under this warranty is limited to a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase. Foster or a factory appointed service agent shall at their discretion repair or replace, including labor charges, of defective parts or assemblies. The labor warranty shall include standard straight time labor charges only and travel time within 50km of major city centers, travel time outside these areas will be charged to customer at industry accepted travel rates.

ADDITIONAL TWO YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY

In addition to the three (3) year warranty stated above, Foster warrants the compressor to be free from defects in both material and workmanship under normal conditions, use and maintenance service for a period of two (2) additional years. Compressors determined by Foster or factory appointed service agent shall at their discretion be repaired or replaced with a compressor or compressor parts of equivalent specification. This additional two (2) year warranty does not apply to any other parts or components, including, but not limited to : cabinet, paint finish, temperature controller, refrigerant, metering devices, driers, motor starting equipment,fan assembly or any other electrical components. This additional two (2) year warranty applies to the following product series:

F, FSSU, FPP, FGDM, FUC, FBB, FDD, FRCB, FCGD

On products without the five (5) year compressor warranty, the compressor is covered for one (1) year under the standard parts and labor warranty.

404A/134A/R290 HYDROCARBON COMPRESSOR WARRANTY

The five (5) year compressor warranty as outlined above will be null and void if the following procedures are not strictly adhered to:

  1. This system contains R404A, R134A, or R290 and lubricant. The lubricant has rapid moisture absorbing qualities. If the system is exposed to the ambient environment, the lubricant must be removed and replaced. Oil specifications and quantities can be provided
    by Foster.
  2. Drier replacement is is critical and must be changed when a system is opened for service. A factory replacement of the same capacity must be used.
  3. Micron level vacuums must be achieved to insure low moisture levels.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

All claims for labor or parts must be made directly through Foster. All claims must be made to Foster and include: proof of purchase, model number & serial number and any other relevant information supporting the claim.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY

Foster’s only obligation under this warranty is limited to either repair or replacement of parts, subject to the limitations below. This warranty neither assumes nor authorizes any person or entityto assume obligation other than those explicitly covered by this warranty.

Foster does not assume any consequential damages. Foster is not responsible for economic loss; profit loss; or special indirect, or consequential damages, including without limitation, losses or damages arising from food or product spoilage claims whether or not on account of refrigeration failure.

WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE: This warranty is not assignable and applies only in favor of the original purchaser/user to whom delivered.

Any such assignment or transfer shall void the warranties herein made and shall void all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

IMPROPER USAGE, ALTERATION, NEGLECT, ABUSE, MISUSE,ACCIDENT, DAMAGE DURING TRANSIT OR INSTALLATION, FIRE, FLOOD OR ACT OF GOD: Foster is not responsible for the repair or replacement of any parts that are determined to have been subjected after the date of manufacture to alteration, neglect, abuse, misuse, accident, damage during transit or installation, fire, flood, or act of God.

IMPROPER ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS: Foster IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF FAILED OR DAMAGED COMPONENTS RESULTING FROM ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE, THE USE OF EXTENSION CORDS, LOW VOLTAGE OR VOLTAGE DROPS TO THE UNIT.

THE ONE (1) YEAR PARTS & LABOR WARRANTY AND THE ADDITIONAL FOUR (4) YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY ARE AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THESE WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIES WARRANTY AND MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF.

OUTSIDE U.S.A. & CANADA: This warranty does not apply to areas outside of the Continental United States and Canada.
